For months now I've been toying with the idea of adding a collection of printables to coordinate with my birthday outfits. My thought is that time deprived moms will be able to purchase a birthday outfit and coordinated party favors in one place without having to spend countless hours searching for the right outfit to go with the party favors or vice versa. Great idea, right? My only problem is that I had no idea how to execute this plan. Thankfully, my son was turning 2, and I wanted to throw him a party on a budget of $100. I forced myself to learn. So here is how it started... with an invitation, and matching birthay outfit:

I actually screen printed the fabric for the #2 on his shirt, making it match the dots on the invitation.
Once the invitations were out, and guests were confirmed I had to get rolling. Here is a picture of the cake/gift table (unfortunately this was taken before I had the opportunity to put the cupcake toppers in DOH!) before our guests arrived:
The water bottles were a big hit. One of our guests suggest I market this idea, and become the next Martha Stewart. I said, "that's a great idea, but she's the one who came up with it." Anyway, here is a closeup of the bottles:

I made improvements to the labels after printing them, so the actual labels pictured here are different from the labels I put on the bottles. We used the new and improved version to create napkin rings. By doing this we were able to use less expnsive plate and napkins yet have a completely coordinated and cohesive party theme.

The fancy lables I used to identify food (as if hummus really needs a label). What I did was cut the image out, and layer it on a blank greeting card to create a tent card. These would also be great for favor bags:
Aside from Lukey's outfit, I have to say my favorite decoration, by far was the Happy Birthday Banner. I layered the banner on top of cardstock, punched a hole in the corner of each pennant, set a grommet and ran the ribbon through. It made a great statement, and everyone present, knew why there were there:
So, I've done a lot of showing off, and patting myself on the back, and you're probably wonder, so what's free. Right? From now until June 30, 2011 each person that (1) purchases a birthday set valued at $25.00 or more; and (2) becomes a Facebook fan, I will provide a set of personalized (1) water bottle labels; (2) party circles; (3) fancy frames; and (4) a birthday banner. Beginning July 1, I will be selling these items in my shop, and they will no longer be freebies, so act fast.
